iVote's
purpose is to demonstrate widespread popular support for single policy
issues whose TIME HAS COME and for which The TIPPING POINT has been reached because
they are in tune with The Spirit of our Age, our 'ZeitGeist'.

Issues which currently
appear dormant but which have the potential to win overwhelming POPULARITY at or before
the next General Election and can therefore win massive cross-party support in an era where the guiding principle
of democratic government is no longer ideology but PRACTICALITY.

Issues
which have this potential because there is a broad, largely silent consensus that radical reform is necessary.

Education is such an issue
because the government's aspiration that by 2012 all schools must ensure that only 30% of
their children pass Maths and English at GCSE is not ambitious enough. It's
an OLD, pre-technology, target.

That means that 7/10 children in these schools will leave school without the minimum
qualifications required by employers

But Parents want ALL their
children to get Maths and English at GCSE and if the government, by its own admission, can't get anywhere near this
aspiration, then it's time they moved over and got out of the kitchen by ending the State monopoly of Supply; through
the introduction of School Vouchers to kick start
private sector's provision of STATE education.

It's time to
let parents decide which operators should survive and which don't cut the mustard.

The State monopoly has failed, is failing and
will always fail: as is the fate of all monopolies; public
or private.

so that we can start a mass movement on this single issue because a good education for everyone is THE
MOST IMPORTANT POLITICAL ISSUE being the foundation stone on which the government can build just about
every other government policy.
